I was born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico. My father was called as a missionary and church planter. I attended kindergarten, and elementary public schools in Tijuana and then was homeschooled in junior and senior high.
After graduating from high school I moved to Ontario, California where I attended Providence Christian College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies. I met my wife Rachel there and we were married the summer of her graduation. We spent our first year of marriage together in Riverside, California while I worked full time at Haven Ministries – a nationally syndicated radio broadcast – while preparing to go to seminary. I continued working at Haven part-time while attending seminary.
We moved down to Temecula while attending Westminster Seminary California for four years and I graduated in 2016. Our first girl was born during my second year at seminary and our second soon after I graduated.
In the summer of 2017 I was called and ordained as a pastor at Reformation Fellowship. I’m so grateful to shepherd God’s people here in the greater Sacramento area.
In my time off I enjoy going on excursions to explore the area with my wife and daughters. We like to walk together as a family. I ride my bicycle everywhere I can, and as God has added children to our family I have added bike seats and now a bike trailer to keep riding with my girls. I like to listen to audiobooks while I drive and occasionally play the guitar.
