I was born into a military family and moved many times to wherever my father was stationed. After high school, I attended college and graduated with a civil engineering degree from UC Davis and then joined the Navy and was stationed on aircraft carriers as a non-pilot aircrew in the EA-6B “Prowler” jet.
During my shore deployment in Pensacola, Florida, Karen and I met at a Baptist church, and we married a couple of years later. A few years after that I left the Navy, and we moved to Oak Harbor, Washington where I worked as a civilian instructor teaching how to fly the “Prowler.” During this time God blessed us with two sons and a daughter.
Through R. C. Sproul teaching videos, Karen and I became reformed in our convictions, and I eventually felt challenged to see if I was called to full-time gospel ministry. We sold our house and moved to attend Westminster Seminary California where I graduated in 2001 with a Master of Divinity degree.
From 2005-2008 I pastored Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Carson, California. Due to budget constraints from the “Great Recession,” I was asked to resign. God provided for us when I was hired by the Federal Aviation Administration, a job I retired from in October 2021.
I was installed as Reformation Fellowship’s Associate Pastor in November 2021, and I am thankful to God in Christ for calling me back to full-time service in the gospel. Karen and I look forward to serving Him in Reformation Fellowship and getting to know and serve with the saints.
